Tubular Heat Exchanger

In Stock

The Tubular Heat Exchanger is a reliable and widely used heat transfer solution designed to efficiently transfer heat between two fluids without allowing them to mix. Known for its strong structure and stable performance, this type of heat exchanger is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications that require high pressure, high temperature, and large processing capacity. Tubular heat exchangers are commonly used as coolers, heaters, and condensers in many industrial systems. Their durable design, simple maintenance, and cost-effective manufacturing make them an ideal choice for industries such as chemical processing, energy, food processing, and environmental engineering. MG-TECH provides high-quality tubular heat exchangers engineered to deliver reliable performance, long service life, and efficient heat transfer in demanding industrial environments. Key Features Modular Construction The tubular heat exchanger consists of several major components, including the shell, tube bundle, tube sheet, baffles, and head. Each component can be independently designed or replaced according to specific operating conditions. This modular structure allows easy maintenance and flexible customization. Flexible Process Configuration Through the use of process separation baffles and multi-pass flow arrangements, various tube-side and shell-side configurations can be achieved (such as 1-2 or 2-4 passes). This flexibility allows engineers to optimize fluid flow paths and improve overall heat transfer performance. Compact and Scalable Design Tubular heat exchangers provide a large heat transfer surface within a compact structure. The capacity of the system can be increased by extending the tube length or increasing the number of tubes, making it suitable for both small-scale equipment and large industrial systems. Optimized Energy Efficiency The balance between pressure drop and heat transfer performance can be optimized by adjusting parameters such as tube diameter, tube arrangement (triangular or square), and baffle spacing. This ensures efficient operation while maintaining stable system performance. Advantages Excellent sealing performance with minimal leakage risk High heat transfer efficiency Easy inspection and maintenance Strong resistance to corrosion and long service life Reliable operation under high pressure and high temperature Suitable for large industrial processing capacity Structure and Working Principle The tubular heat exchanger operates by transferring heat between two fluids with different temperatures while keeping them separated. One fluid flows inside the tubes, known as the tube-side fluid, while the other fluid flows around the tubes within the shell, known as the shell-side fluid. Heat passes through the tube walls from the hot fluid to the cold fluid. To improve heat transfer efficiency, baffles are installed inside the shell. These baffles direct the shell-side fluid across the tube bundle multiple times, increasing fluid velocity and turbulence. This significantly enhances heat transfer performance. The heat transfer tubes can be arranged in different patterns on the tube sheet: Triangular arrangement – provides compact layout and higher turbulence, resulting in better heat transfer efficiency. Square arrangement – allows easier cleaning and is suitable for fluids that may cause scaling.

  • Strong resistance to corrosion and long service life

  • Reliable operation under high pressure and high temperature

  • Suitable for large industrial processing capacity

Structure and Working Principle

The tubular heat exchanger operates by transferring heat between two fluids with different temperatures while keeping them separated.

The heat transfer tubes can be arranged in different patterns on the tube sheet:

  • Triangular arrangement – provides compact layout and higher turbulence, resulting in better heat transfer efficiency.

  • Square arrangement – allows easier cleaning and is suitable for fluids that may cause scaling.
